Our local jaunt -- we love it and have sworn by it since moving to the area 5 years ago! Owner NEVER misses a beat...she's a badass!

There's three kinds of Chinese food: American, Dirty New York and Chinese. This joint is DCNY. See what I did there?
Since moving into this neighborhood, this joint is the Kang of DC for your boy, but that's not really saying much. It gets 4/5, because the other options are stank, at best.
For me, the true test of a DCNY are the following dishes: The General/Orange Chicken (4), Beef with Brocolli (5), Maduros (3), Fried Wangs (3), Fried Rice (3), Chow Mien (3) and the Wonton Soup(3). Egg roll? It too is average length, girth and taste. Basically, the basics satisfied my cravings.
Bonus: The Singapore Noodles (they don't season it w/curry powder) was disappointing, but edible. I guess you can say this joint is consistent in it's inconsistency.
Going there to order is an exercise in patience. The old Chinese lady can be indifferent to the point of rude, but that's really more a FOB cultural thing IMO because I've noticed shit gets lost in translation for her. Hey, my mom had an accent, too.
Listen, if all you want tonight is shitty wine, DC delivery and Netflix, you have found the right spot and the speedy delivery is a bonus. It gets 4 stars because it's the best of the worst. Just like your mom. -

After coming to this place for a few times, I've figured that it offers a good budget meal. It can even be healthy depending on the way you order. For example, I ask for steamed veggie and meat with no oil, no salt. The meat is already marinated so it has tastes. When I get home, I sprinkle just a little bit of my miso sauce. Last but not least, the waitress lady is actually super nice! If you struggle with phone order, just say the dish number.

This is some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. The price is hard to beat as well. If you are looking for a take out Chinese restaurant this is your place. It's less then a block away from where I live and I order on the phone and go walk down to get it. By the time I get there it is ready. The people working there are really friendly too. I've had such good experiences here. So have my roommates!! Highly recommend this place!!
